Fantastic concert on 7 July
27 June 2012
The Black Isle Fiddle Weekend will be hosting a concert in the church on Saturday 7th July, at 8pm. The evening will be a wonderful acoustic double bill of multi-instrumental duo 'Mairearad and Anna' and new fiddle quartet 'RANT'.
Hailing from Fortrose, just down the road from Cromarty, Anna Massie is one of the most in-demand musicians on the folk scene and is equally skilled on the fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. Her long-standing musical partnership with west coast accordionist/piper Mairearad Green has gained them a wide-spread reputation for their warm and friendly stage appearance and highly energetic performance.
The concert in the church will be the first for the fiddle group 'RANT'. Band members Bethany Reid, Jenna Reid, Sarah-Jane Summers and Lauren MacColl, together weave a tapestry of melodies, textures, layers in a celebration of the instrument they all have a passion for.
Tickets £12/8 (u14) from wegottickets.com or on the door. The ticket includes a half-time refreshment at the Old Brewery.
