Performance venue
The East Church has wonderful acoustics and a warm intimacy which makes any concert special.
So special in fact that RANT recorded their first CD together in the church, with very little adjustment of the natural acoustic required. Much to their delighted one of the tracks from the album was short-listed for traditional track of the year in the BBC Folk Awards.
Lauren will be returning to the church for the final concert of the Black Isle Fiddle weekend, which she organises each year.
The Black Isle Words literary festival, whose guests include Mairi Hedderwick (shown right) are equally as enthusiastic about the church and have held talks here over a number of years.
So, if you'd like to use the church, get in touch with us via cromartyeastchurch@gmail.com or phone David or Caroline on 01381 600243.
We don't ask for a set fee, but we do request a donation - all of which wil go towards the upkeep of the church.
